Some behind the scene photos from the recording of our album. We began recording over a year ago and it was a big learning process but we finished with an album we are all very proud of. This album pushed us as musicians and the next one will push us even more and we look forward to the challenge.

It has been just over two weeks since the release and there have been so many people listening to us and we want to say thank you so much for all of your support! It means a lot. If you are interested in buying a CD we still have some so please reach out.

Last but not least on our interview session is our guitarist Zach! Here’s what he had to say:

Where did you grow up?

Edmonton, Alberta

How did you get into music?

I really didn’t get into music all that much until high school. But one day on the drive to school I put on Dark Side of the Moon, and it just completely shifted my perspective on what music could be. I really dove into it after that and eventually I got a guitar after I graduated. I taught myself some riffs and then spent a lot of time just jamming and writing my own stuff in university.

What was your first experience getting into heavy music?

My love for music started with late 60s/early 70s classic rock, so when I was really introduced to heavier rock/metal genres for the first time, it was during the early days of the band. And that definitely sent me down a rabbit hole of music discovery, because there is just so much good stuff out there in the world of heavy rock and metal, especially with a lot of newer bands right now. But what really ended up capturing me the most was the Stoner Rock stuff, with blues-based heavy riffs that combined my love for blues, hard rock, and psychedelic rock into something super dark and heavy, but still groovy. These were the riffs I used to play along with in my dorm room, eventually taking elements from them to start making my own. Bands like Kyuss, Nightstalker, 1000Mods, and VIC really influenced the music I contributed on this album.

Top 3 Fav Artists?

Tough call but probably The Doors, Villagers of Ioannina City, and Jimi Hendrix.

Fav song off of our album?

Roses

Next up on our meet-the-band interview series is our lead vocalist and bassist, Kristina!

Where did you grow up?

A bunch of places. I was born in Vancouver, but moved to Alberta as a kid.

How did you get into music?

My mom is a musician and a singer, so I've been on stage since before I was born. Throughout my youth I was a part of every choir and musical theatre show that would take me.

What was your first experience getting into heavy music?

I can't really remember a time without it! As a kid, I loved bands that my dad listened to like Rammstein and Nightwish. When I got a bit older I went through a huge pop punk phase (Paramore, MCR, etc.), and in high school I discovered bands like System of a Down and Tool. Since then, I've found stuff that I love in a lot of genres, but my heart will always most truly belong to music in the realm of metal, rock and punk.

Top 3 Fav Artists?

This is an impossible question! I'd say my favourite band of all time is Nightwish, but the other two change all the time. The Gathering and Lacuna Coil are big influences on my work with GoA, so I've been jamming them a lot lately.

Fav song off of our album?

Roses! 🌹

With our show only a few weeks away and our album release on Tuesday, we thought we should help you get to know our members a little better with some interview questions and answers.

Starting off, we have our drummer and backing vocalist Levon. Here’s what he had to say:

Where did you grow up?

Trochu, Alberta and then came to Edmonton for Post Secondary.

How did you get into playing music?

My Dad was the music teacher for my Town’s school (K-12). When I was in Elementary school after my day was over I would have to wait for my Dad to get off work to walk me home so I would play the drums in the band room and mess around on the other instruments as well. I also picked up the guitar around this time and that became my primary instrument but I kept up with the drums too. When we started this band we already had a guitar player so I decided to play the drums.

What was your first experience getting into heavy music?

Most of my heavy music came from my cousin Kyle who would bring CDs with him whenever he would come visit. He introduced me to bands like Disturbed and Avenged Sevenfold. The most transforming moment where I truly became fully into metal was one Christmas when I was 12 or 13 where he asked if I had ever heard of the band Slipknot. I shook my head and he handed me headphones and his phone and said “listen to this” and played the beginning of their All Hope is Gone Album, starting with the intro “.execute.” that transitions directly into “Gematria (The Killing Name)” and it was unlike anything I had ever heard. I sat there and listened through the entire album. “Gematria” is still my favourite Slipknot song to this day. From then on the majority of my music became metal and I’ve branched into different sub-genres and am always discovering new artists that blow me away.

Billy Talent, Caligula’s Horse, Gojira. Honorable mention to Mastodon.

Odyssey

Big news! We have a full album that we are so excited to share with all of you. On March 3rd our album will be available for purchase on Bandcamp and on March 14th it will be available for streaming on all platforms. Link in bio.
